We are proudly supporting & following the progress of Bianca “Bam Bam” on her journey towards the Commonwealth Games in 2014. Bianca is living, eating and embracing the THR1VE lifestyle ahead of the games, and will share her experiences, challenges and goal-kicking moments with us here on the THR1VE Blog.
My name is Bianca “Bam Bam” Elmir and I’m a 51 kilo flyweight boxer from Canberra. I’m hoping to represent Australia at the Commonwealth Games (Glasgow, Scotland) next year, the first time women will be allowed to box at the Games. I want to make history and bring back gold for Australia.
I’ve won two Australian tittles an Oceana title, international events and an Australian kick boxing title. I have been boxing for just over three years, and in this time I have learnt a lot about myself. I am in the right place physically and mentally to go for gold and I am excited by the opporunity to represent my country. I have some major challenges ahead for me and through these experiences I hope to learn a lot.
THR1VE has recently joined my team and as an amateur athlete I am really grateful to have them on board. There are many financial challenges as an amateur athlete and having a local business to support me has given me a real boost. I support what THR1VE is doing with nutrition and health and I share similiar philosophies. I am proud to have THR1VE a part of my journey ahead.
I am in a weight division sport so a healthy diet is paramount to my success. I will document my journey over the next eight months through to the Commonwealth Games. I want to be open with the blog, documenting the good and bad that is ahead for me, and by doing so, I hope I can include you in my journey. I am keen to share my stories with you.
