Over the weekend we had the pleasure of joining fellow Paleo folks in Sydney for a little get-together at the Local Taphouse, hosted by Alison Sims (from the blog Paleo Foodies)
Not only is it inspiring and fun to meet like minded people, but also a fantastic opportunity to exchange recipes, training tips, inspiration and knowledge with new found friends. We also had the chance to get to know ‘Coach Keegan’, who is the strength and conditioning coach for the Sydney Roosters. Keegan described the path that had led him into the Primal / Paleo world, and why he now lives this way every day.
We enjoyed slow roast saltbush fed lamb shoulder served with rosemary and confit garlic jus, and braised fennel and seasonal vegetables with a strawberry salad. For dessert a Paleo apple & strawberry crumble was served with coconut cream.
If you’re interested to join us for the next event, head to the Paleo Foodies website to find out more. We’re thrilled to see like minded Sydney siders get together to embrace this way of life, and we hope to see many more of you at the next event!
