Above : Michael doing a crossfit benchmark workout called ELIZABETH.
21, 15 and then 9 reps of both 62kg cleans and ring dips. 40 kg would be a females weight.
I do this work 2min 53 sec with un-broken reps.
The human body is an amazing thing and if we fuel it and use it correctly it can evolve into something great.
People train for a lot of different reasons, I know that I train for performance, but most people I find just want to maintain health and look good doing it. There is no quick fix to losing weight and becoming healthy we need to set goals and have an understanding that it doesn’t just take a week or a couple of months or even a year. Health is an ongoing commitment to life and if we have the right tools and education it all becomes easy, almost second nature.
In my opinion the best way to keep fit is to simply run, jump, throw, push, pull, squat, lunge and move functionally at high and low intensities using different time domains. We need to hit our aerobic, anaerobic and lactate systems and to always keep our bodies guessing. If we do this our bodies never have time to adapt and overcome, whilst the body is trying to do this it learns to evolve always gaining in endurance and strength, it burns energy to keep up with these changes.
Fat is energy!
If you’re training this way and eating clean foods such as the food provided by THR1VE cafes you will burn fat, look good and have more energy increasing your longevity. I’m a firm believer that if you are active, eating clean and happy with what you are doing then don’t change it, you’re doing it right!
