A lot of us dread the holiday seasons and all the drinking, sugary foods and lack of routine that comes with it. For some, it’s merely an excuse to give up on the hard work and fall back into bad habits. Luckily,this doesn’t have to be the case as long as you make the right choices.
Throwing a party?
Get creative with your ingredients and let your (or your children’s!) imagination run wild. Hard boil some eggs and decorate with black olive ‘spiders’, or carve a few capsicums and oven roast them stuffed with grass fed beef and chopped celery and carrot, or perhaps ‘ghost bananas covered in shredded coconut, with sultana eyes. The possibilities are endless, and most of them do not require sugar, food coloring or pre-bought cupcakes.
